Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 30 August 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
These Terms & Conditions form an agreement between you and My Money Mate ("we", "us"), the seller and operator of the My Money Mate personal finance software (the "Service"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it; if you use it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your country.
2. Acceptance
By purchasing, accessing, or continuing to use the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
3. What the Service is
My Money Mate is budgeting software that lets you record income and expenses, review your balance, and see a breakdown of your spending by category. It does not move, hold, or invest money, and it does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Any figure the calculator or dashboard shows is an estimate for your own information only, and decisions you take based on it remain your responsibility.
4. Licence and restrictions
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not resell or redistribute the Service, reverse engineer it, or circumvent its technical limits.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
- use it for any unlawful purpose;
- use it for fraud, spam, or misleading activity;
- infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- interfere with its security — including uploading malware, probing, or scraping it.
You are responsible for keeping any account credentials confidential and for activity carried out under your account, and for providing accurate information and keeping it up to date.
6. Intellectual property
We retain all ownership of the Service and everything in it, including the software, documentation, design, and branding. Data you enter remains yours; you grant us only the limited licence needed to host and process it in order to provide the Service.
7. Service level and warranties
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Payment, billing, and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our own refund period is described in our Refund Policy.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable use rules. If your access ends, you will have a reasonable window to export the data you entered before it is deleted.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it to be excluded.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from content you submit, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
12. General
You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These Terms are governed by the laws of the seller's country of establishment, and disputes will be heard by the courts of that jurisdiction. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected in the date above.
